Juneteenth holds a deeply personal meaning. I am standing here today, as a Black business owner, because of the resilient African-Americans who endured slavery and lived their entire lives knowing they would NEVER be free. Racism is clearly rooted in slavery but our subconscious biases are not always so obvious. At Edloe Finch & Albany Park, we strive to keep the conversation going by bringing further awareness to racism in America as well as the unconscious biases that cripple not only African-Americans, but society as a whole. We are excited to give back in a meaningful way and empower organizations whose work is a huge contribution to African-American's fight for freedom, justice, and equality.
